ALL YOU WANT TO KNOW...

THE BEST $59 YOU MIGHT EVER SPEND.

Last month, in my Newsletter Message, I invited you to email me with a question or with a subject on which you wanted information.  I had several responses. chairman picture

One person asked me to help her with a legal question about what kind of entity would be best for her new business.

There is an easy answer to that question.  Why would you not pay $59 to attend our SCORE sponsored seminar to get the answer to that question from an attorney?  Any private consultation with an attorney would no doubt cost much more than that!

“How to Really Start Your Own Business” is the title of the SCORE sponsored seminar.

There are eight essential subjects covered in the three consecutive Tuesday evenings of the seminar. It is repeated six times each year in July, September, November, January, March, and May.

The next seminar begins at 6:30 pm on July 15.

Many of the subjects covered are valuable to people who are already in business, such as the banker who speaks about how to get financing, the computer person who talks about using the internet, the marketing topic which covers how to grow sales, and the insurance person who provides insight into how to get the most from your insurance dollars. The pivotal business plan "how to" is also addressed.

Attorneys present two of the subjects—one is about the types of entities you might choose for your business:  sole proprietorship, regular corporation, partnership, Sub-Chapter S corporation, or LLC.  Attendees have an opportunity to ask the speakers specific questions about their particular business.  One attorney discusses how to protect your ideas from competitors—patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets.

On our website, you will find a description of each of the eight seminar topics, a list of speakers for each of the three evenings for the next seminar, registration information, and a schedule of the dates for the 2008 seminars.

Do you have a question or topic you want me to discuss next month?  If so, email me at jeanjk1935@aol.com
