Platinum Award

Highest SCORE Award

The National SCORE Association awarded Jake Haveman its highest volunteer honor, the Platinum Leadership Award. The recipient must have demonstrated meritorious service and made a significant contribution to SCORE.

Jake joined SCORE in 1982; he retired from FMC/Link Belt. Jake was Chair of Cedar Rapids SCORE Chapter 227 twice, 1984-85 and 1988-89. He also chaired committees, counseled clients, and was a speaker on marketing for several years at the SCORE seminar “How to Really Start Your Own Business.” The picture shows chairman John Bryant (left) presenting Jake the Platinum Certificate.
