SIFE Partnership

SCORE Partnering with Local College Organization

SCORE’s marketing committee is teaming with Mount Mercy’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) to work on creating new marketing initiatives for the organization.

SIFE students have been working with advisor Anne King to evaluate SCORE’s needs within the organization and out in the wider community. They plan to present their marketing plan to the organization near the end of October.

“I am very excited about SIFE's new partnership with SCORE,” commented SIFE president Jayne Dvorak. “I am looking forward to learning more about SCORE's involvement in the community and helping them to reach their goals.” The Mount Mercy College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team was founded 10 years ago, and has evolved to become one of the College’s most active student-led, non-academic earning organizations on campus.

Mount Mercy College is a vibrant four-year coeducational Catholic college with an enrollment of over 1,400 students. The College uniquely blends liberal arts education with professional preparation, and encourages its students to strive for excellence through service to the common good, strategic communication, the use of reflective judgment, and purposeful living. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928, Mount Mercy College is distinguished by graduates committed to service, both in their choice of career and/or personal volunteer service to the community.

SIFE student leaders have volunteered more than 13,000 hours and empowered more than 21,000 people in the local area with the skills needed to succeed in our nation’s free enterprise system.  This year alone, SIFE students have completed 46 projects – serving 2,005 hours that have impacted 6,616 people in our community.  This has resulted in 6.8 million in gross media impressions for SIFE and Mount Mercy College.

Mount Mercy SIFE students apply the knowledge and hands-on experience gained in the classroom to teach the principles of free enterprise to a wide array of individuals ranging in age from kindergartners to the Sisters of Mercy, our co-habitants on “the mount.” SIFE is an international organization active on more than 1,400 college and university campuses in 48 countries.  SIFE is one of the largest business and higher education networks in the world, comprised of students, faculty and administrators, and business leaders. Together, we are all working collaboratively to create a better world by addressing business and economic issues that matter in our communities.
